Hasselback Potatoes

Aren't these impressive looking potatoes?
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfection.
They are called Hasselback Potatoes,

Hasselback Potatoes are super easy to make.

And, I'm gonna show you how!

Hasselback Potatoes

Ingredients:
  • medium size baking potatoes.
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Butter
  • Garlic slivers, onion slivers, any spices you'd like to sprinkle on your potatoes.
Directions -
  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Wash potatoes well.
  3. Lay each potato on a cutting board.
  4. With a sharp knife, thinly slice each potato, being careful to NOT CUT all the way through. (***TIP: I lay a chopstick on each side of the potato so I don't accidentally cut too far.***)
  5. Season each potato. This is where you can get creative, slide a sliver of garlic between the layers, experiment with different herbs, Butter, Use whatever sounds good to you!.
  6. Place potatoes in a baking dish that has been drizzled with Olive Oil.
  7. Drizzle potatoes with olive oil.
  8. Bake @ 425 for 40 min, or until the inside is tender.
  9. Enjoy!

  4. Another tip for slicing the potatoes. Put them in a large wooden spoon before slicing, then slice down, when you hit the spoon you are still well above the bottom and no slicing through. I do this every time and have no problems.

  7. Hi, my name is Haley. I am thirteen. I made these potatoes forr my family and let me say that I can't even imagine how I lived without this recipe before! I changed the recipe a little bit though... Here it is:

I sliced the podatoes just like you. (and that tip with the chopsticks really helped me alot) then I minced about six cloves of garlic and minced about the same amunt of yellow onion. Mixed them together and put about 1/8th a tsp (How else do u describe that amount???) between each slice. If you have any leftovers mix it with the olive oil that you drizzle on top. salt and pepper. Top with green onions and then pop it in the oven. The green onions were sooo good.

  10. These potatoes were different and really delicious. I used olive oil instead of butter, turned the potatoes over for about five minutes to crisp up the tops and once nicely browned, I flipped them again, added quite a bit of fresh bread crumbs which I had seasoned with garlic and onion powders, Italian seasonings, black pepper and lots of parm. Everyone loved these. Thanks!

  11. En tercer lugar. El espacio, algunas perchas están realmente salvando los espacios así que para aquellos titulares de la casa que quieren más espacio para perchas de su armario, perchas de plástico delgado o perchas de metal son la opción correcta.
